Celebrating Love

Hello!! I am finally back...it's been a busy couple of weeks! I have been working on this LO for a while now and I finally finished it.

For Valentine's Day we go to a moonlight jazz concert at an old estate by our house. It's so much fun...you get to take your own picnic blankets, food, candles, etc and just lay out. I go with my cousins and we usually end up drinking the night away and eating some yummy crepes. And amazingly, this year we had a cold day in February here in the sunshine state!

My favorite part of the LO is the little picture book that I made...I sewed it together using a really neat scallop function on the sewing machine that I discovered! I made the tabs out of chip board and just added some sewing, rhinestones, and button. And... I finally got to use some grungeboard! I painted it brown and traced the swirl marks with stickles.

Arte y Pico

Photobucket

I was always a little hesitant about starting a blog because then I knew that I would REALLY be addicted not only to scrapbooking, but to a wonderful world of amazing people. And boy am I glad to have started it!

I opened my comments yesterday and much to my surprise I had been awarded this by Michelle! She totally made my day! Thank you sooo much Michelle, this is the first award that I have ever received! Please be sure to go check out her blog so you can see all of her amazing talent at Michelle's blog.

I now have to award this to five other people, they in turn will do the following...
1) Pick 5 blogs who deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material and also contributes to the blogging community no matter what language.

2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to the blog to be visited by everyone.

3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and the link to the blog that has given her or him the award .

4) Award winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of "arte y pico" blog (linked in my title) so everyone will know the origin of this award. (Cut and paste the info into your blog to make things easier)

And the amazing blogs that I would like to award are:
TeriBeri
Regina
DeeDee
Sonia
Betty

Please make sure to visit all these ladies' blogs. You will definitely want to go back for more!
