Thinking of you
My aunt just had back surgery to remove a tumor that was wrapped around her spinal cord. Fortunately, it was benign and her recovery has been incredible! Her birthday is coming and I decided to make her something special. So I made her card for Regina's challenge over on the BBTB. http://regina-bittenbythebug.blogspot.com/ She wanted us to use the tall ball grass from the Doodlecharms cart. With that said, here is my card!
One little thing....I made the fabric flower on this card myself! Thanks DSIL for the idea! I had been dying to make my own flower using the fabric and this was the perfect project to use it on.
Materials used-
Cardstock and PP: DCWV
Ribbon: Offray
Button: Walmart
Stickles and embroidery floss

Inspire....Bunny card
Regina had us use the bunny from Doodlecharms for this week’s challenge. I knew exactly what I was going to do and who it was going to be for! I made a card for a very special person who truly is an inspiration to me.
I had been dying to use embroidery on something so I bought the CutterBee Piercing Bugs and some thread and got to work! I love those little tools, I can’t wait to use them on other things! I also used acetate paper and stamped the inside of the card with the actual stamp because I wanted to incorporate it in my writing. And of course, the card needed an envelope to go with it so I used some more embroidery on that as well!
Materials used:
Cardstock: Color Mates
Patterned paper: DCWV (Spring Stack….it’s awesome this year!)
Bunny paper: DCWV Glitter mini Spring Stack
Stamp: CTMH
Embroidery thread, ribbon, and felt for paws: Michael’s

Original Country Style
Hey ya’ll! Regina’s challenge over at BBTB was to use the “Original” from PP….so I decided to put my Halloween pictures into a LO ( I did it mostly for my hubbie, because that has been his favorite Halloween ever!). If he could, he would move to a ranch in Montana, ride his horses everyday, sing sappy country love songs, and chew tobacco like the good ol’ boys!
Materials used:
Bandana fabric and brown fringe- Walmart
Bandana paper- Karen Foster
Print paper- Flair Designs
Cowboy- Paper dolls
"Country"- Sizzlets alphabet (I forgot the name)
"C": I stitched the fabric together and made it myself!

I am sooooo excited because I have been asked by Regina (thank you, it’s been an honor) to be a guest designer over on her blog http://regina-bittenbythebug.blogspot.com/! The first challenge of the month was to use the crown from the Happily Ever After cartridge. I decided to do another page for one of my grandmothers’ album. The writing is in Spanish but I’ll summarize in a nutshell: My grandmother always says that I am her precious jewels. She calls me her diamond, her pearl, her ruby, and her emerald. So I decided to make a page telling her that in truth, she is my jewels.
Materials used
Scalloped square: Accent Essentials cart
Rhinestones: misc
Ribbon: American Crafts
Stars: Sizzix
Chipboard
Patterned paper: Basic Grey

The Gift of Friendship
This is the card I made for Regina's Shape Contest a couple of weeks back. I was a joint winner for first place!!!
Ever since we graduated high school, my friends and I have really tried to stay close and hang out every chance we get. Lately we have been calling these gatherings our "Gift of friendship". It just so happens to be that we had met the weekend prior to the contest and so I decided to make a card for the hostess, my best friend. I hope you enjoy!

The Beat of My Heart
Betty was hosting a challenge over on her blog a couple of weeks ago and this was my entry. I made the card for my husband for Valentine's Day.
I sanded the edges of the heart, stickled the word love, and put a rhinestone on the "o" in "boy". The arrow and the tag have liquid glass. And I tried to use as many different carts as I could!
Heart and “you”: Plantin Schoolbook
“R”: Stamped
“OF”: Beyond Birthdays (Laugh Often)

Mother
I am making an album for each of my grandmothers for mother's day. So...I will be posting each layout as I finish. This is one that I completed that has and will have more pictures of my mom and her sisters. This is the first time that I have ever done anything with older pictures and I'm really excited. Unfortunately, when my parents came to Miami as exiles, they were forced to leave everything behind. Therefore, we treasure every picture that is from long ago.
I was able to find some paper with spanish print from Spanish Memories.com along with the sticker embellishments.
Frame: Accent Essentials
Ribbon: American Crafts
Silf flowers: Walmart
Stickles
Cuttlebug embossing folder for middle of flower: Bubbles
